I wonder...

if the Reds could get LaRue through waivers and trade him to the Red Sox for one of their young pitchers. I would take any of them. I think they are going to be pretty desperate seeing Varitek going on the DL for a month. What are your thoughts?

Sorry, but check out the back of the baseball cards of Ross and Larue and you will see that in the end, Larue is the better catcher. That does not even take into account that Larue is a better defensive catcher (in my oppinion of course). Ross had a great start, however he is coming back to what his career stats are. Going into this season Larue was rated the 2nd best catcher in the NL. Granted a weak group. I wish the Reds would move Ross while his numbers are decent and let Larue get some steady playing time. Yes I in fact do like Larue, but I'm a firm believe that the truth is on the back of the card. If Ross were younger, I might say that he is on the up swing, but he's 29.
